This should have stayed in the drafts. Miyazaki has expressed that AI is an affront to life itself, an insult to a studio that is meticulous in its art. The added irony is the energy required to power this AI engine is contributing to climate change, when so many Ghibli works, especially Miyazaki’s, focus on the damage the human machine does to the natural world. They don’t need a fad to build their brand, as one of the most popular and respected animation houses in the world.

like someone else also mentioned in the comments, ghibli is not some underground studio, and its movies are globally known. your argument means nothing in this case. also if you know how ai 'art' is created, you would know it is not only disrespectful to hayao miyazaki himself, but also disrespectful to all of the people who put so many hours and effort into crafting the movies. i'm pretty sure miyazaki wouldn't want his movies be appreciated through something so low as a 'trend'.
